2023 Nissan Serena J Impul MPV
Edaran Tan Chong Motors (ETCM) has unveiled a new variant for the Nissan Serena S-Hybrid MPV, cordially known as the Nissan Serena J Impul. This stylish MPV gains new Impul bodykit and wheels , as well as several new Impul-themed interior upholstery and trims.
The Impul bodykit blends well with the Serena's signature V-Motion grille design
Based on the then range-topping Premium Highway Star variant, the Serena J Impul is co-developed with renowned Japanese tuner brand, Impul. As a result, the Serena J gets a stylish Impul aerokit that is fully-imported for Japan. At the front, the Impul bodykit grants the Serena with few chrome accents and front lip that blend well with the Serena’s signature V-Motion front grille design.
The Impul makeover continues to the rear part of this MPV, featuring Impul badging on the tailgate, while the rear bumper gets additional chrome accents and trims. Aside from the aerokit, the Serena J Impul also rides on stylish 18-inch Impul Millenium alloy wheels, featuring a two-tone black and polished metal finish. Said wheels are shodded in Goodyear Eagle F1 sport tyres, for good measure.
On board, the Serena J Impul is primed with several Impul touches, with the highlight being the Impul Nappa leather upholstery for all the seven seats. The burgundy and black upholstery features Impul embroidery on the headrests, while the backrests feature a unique pattern that took inspiration from the traditional Japanese rock garden.
Aside from the seats, the Serena J gets the same cabin equipment as the Premium Highway Star Package. This includes the 9-inch infotainment display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 7-inch digital instrument cluster for drivers, dual-zone climate control with dedicated vents for second- and third-row seats, and many more.
Beyond the Impul cosmetics upgrade, the Serena J Impul employs the same 2.0-litre 4-cyl mill that is mated to a 48-volt mild hybrid (MHEV) system with a single integrated starter-generator (ISG) motor – just like any other Serena S-Hybrids. This setup delivers up to 148 HP and 200 NM, where the drive is sent to the front wheels (FWD) via the Xtronic CVT gearbox. Thanks to the partial electrification, this minivan is capable of reaching a fuel economy rate as low as 7.0-litre/100 KM, with a single full-tank can take it as far as 825 KM, ETCM claims.
The new Nissan Serena J Impul is now open for booking, priced at RM169,888 on-the-road sans insurance. Aside from the standard 5-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty provided by ETCM, the Serena J Impul also gets an additional 3-year or 100,000 KM warranty for all the Impul accessories.
Orders for the new Nissan Serena J Impul can now be made via Nissan Malaysia’s official website, or visit any Nissan showrooms nearby.
