- Audi Unveils Newly-Updated Q4 e-tron Lineup For Europe
Audi has updated the Q4 e-tron EV SUV for 2024 Model Year in Europe
Audi has announced a lineup update for the Q4 e-tron EV SUV model in the European market. For the 2024 model year (2024 MY), the EU-bound Q4 e-tron will get a slew of new powertrain options, as well as some minor mechanical upgrades and new equipment.

2024 Audi Q4 e-tron Edition S Line
For starters, the 2024 MY Q4 e-tron is now offered with a new Edition S Line trim, which features a sportier exterior design. This includes the black-hued wheel arch trims and door handles, new Audi matrix LED headlights with four selectable lighting signatures, new smoke tint on its LED taillights, as well as new bronze finish on both the Audi four-rings emblem and the 21-inch W-spoke wheels. This trim level only comes with three body hue options – Pebble Gray, Glacier White Metallic, and Mythos Black Metallic.
Both the Q4 Sportback e-tron (left) & Q4 e-tron (right) are powered by the same 77-kWh battery pack
All variants of the Q4 e-tron still carry the same battery pack with a 77-kWh net energy capacity, albeit with a new and optimised cell chemistry that helps to boost its charging capacity. As a result, Audi claims this new battery tech can juice up the Q4 e-tron from 10% to 80% in around 28 minutes.
The Quattro dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) variants of the Q4 e-tron now can achieve a maximum DC charging rate of 175 kW, while the single-motor models get 135 kW DC rate instead.
Aside from better charging performance, said battery now also comes with an extra protection function, where it will automatically limit the charge level to 80% when using DC charging – a bid to extend the battery life. And for the first time, the Q4 e-tron will also get battery post-conditioning function, where the vehicle’s battery cooling system chills the battery if it exceeds a fixed temperature threshold after driving or charging.
All 2024 Q4 e-tron models get a new and improved rear electric motor
As for its updated powertrain, all variants of the 2024 MY Q4 e-tron sport a new rear electric motor that has higher efficiency and improved power output of 282 HP (210 kW). On both the baseline Q4 e-tron 45 and Q4 Sportback e-tron, this new motor garners them with a faster century sprint time of 6.7 seconds, as well as an improved max EV range of 562 KM.
Meanwhile, on the range-topping Q4 e-tron 55 Quattro models, said new rear motor makes the dual-motor setup with the same front axle motor as prior, delivering a total system output of 335 HP (250 kW). In spite of these upgrades, all Q4 e-tron models top speeds are still governed at 180 KM/H.
As for the mechanical upgrades, the 2024 MY Q4 e-tron’s suspension setup gets a re-tuning with a more balanced setup. Applied to all types of suspensions of the Q4 e-tron, Audi claims that this new tuning still retains stellar drive dynamics with improved steering response and better stability, while offering greater comfort for passengers on board.
The Audi virtual cockpit digital display now comes standard to all variants of 2024 MY Q4 e-tron
Speaking of on board, the Q4 e-tron’s cabin also welcomes some new additions. Key tech amenities like the 10.25-inch Audi virtual cockpit digital driver’s display, Audi connect Navigation & Infotainment, Audi MMI navigation plus, powered tailgate, as well as heated front seats are all offered as standard to all variants of the EV SUV.
One new optional feature offered to the Q4 e-tron is the newly-composed vehicle sound that is unique only to this model, which includes the government-mandated Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System that operates at speeds up to 25 KM/H.
The updated 2024 MY Audi Q4 e-tron EV SUV will be available for booking in selected European countries including Germany from Sept 26, with prices starting from €52,950 (RM264,582). However, Audi has remained tight-lipped about the availability of this updated EV SUV model in other global markets, but we can expect them to come sooner or later.
