Malaysia Automotive Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii) and Indonesia Automotive Institute (IOI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to demonstrate the countries' unwavering commitment to continue collaborating on automotive industry advancement.
The ceremony, held in conjunction with the EVM Summit 2023, aims to establish the ASEAN Automotive Institute or alliance, as well as other forms of engagement among member countries, while creating more business opportunities for Malaysian and Indonesian automotive vendors and Small Medium Industries (SMIs).

En. Muhammad Zulhilmi Ahmad, Director Industrial Development Division, Ministry of Investment, Trade & Industry (MITI) which present for the MOU exchange said that, “We trust that through this partnership, we will be able to leverage on IOI’s expertise and resources to foster mutually beneficial collaborations, where we can attract even greater investments in the automotive ecosystem. This is where we ASEAN countries should complement each other, not compete.”
