Following its first public unveiling at the Malaysia Autoshow (MAS) 2023 earlier this year, the much-anticipated Neta V EV has finally made its official debut into our local market today. Touted as one of the most affordable EVs in the market, the Neta V is offered in a single variant, featuring an exclusive aero kit for the Malaysian market.

For starters, the V is powered by a single electric motor that delivers 127 HP (95 kW) and 160 NM, allowing this compact crossover to accelerate from nought to 50 KM/H in 3.9 seconds, en route to its electronically-governed V-max of 120 KM/H.

Juicing said electric motor is a small 38.5-kWh CATL-sourced battery pack that supplies the Neta V with a maximum EV range of 380 KM on the NEDC cycle. Due to its small capacity, the Neta V battery pack can be charged from 20% to 80% in about 30 minutes, while its HEPT 3.0 Thermostatic Battery Management System works to maintain the pack’s efficiency.

On the visual front, the Malaysian-bound Neta V model is donned with a special aero kit consisting of a stylish front lip, side skirts, and a rear bumper accent that blends well with its sporty crossover hatch body style. Other exterior kit including the XX-inch wheels it rides on, as well as full LED headlights and taillights.

Inside, the V cabin is equipped with some essential tech equipment and comfort amenities. Key highlights include a portrait-oriented 14.6-inch central infotainment system that houses most of the car’s main controls, slim digital instrument cluster that crowns above the front dash, fabric seat upholstery, and more.

Safety-wise the Neta V comes standard with a slew of passive safety features like ABS with EBD, EPD, EHB, as well as dual airbag. As for the ADAS feature, the car is equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).

Set to be locally-assembled (CKD) in Negeri Sembilan by the end of this year, the Neta V EV crossover is priced from RM100,000 on-the-road (OTR) sans insurance. Included with said price is a 5-year or 150,000 KM of general parts warranty, an 8-year or 160,000 KM EV parts warranty, a split 10-year or 200,000 KM of body warranty, as well as a six-month consumable parts warranty.

Additionally, the Neta V is also offered with two optional package. The first option is a free EV starter package, which includes a complimentary home wallbox charger plus installation, a Vehicle-2-Load (V2L) kit, 1-year free vehicle insurance, as well as several equipment upgrades including a special body kit, auto powered tailgate, window tint film, and more. Aside from that, the Neta V is also offered with an interest-free financing package that is extendable to seven years, subject to terms and conditions.
