Toyota’s latest addition to its Japan Mobility Show 2023 (JMS 2023) roster, a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) concept dubbed the, KAYOIBAKO. 

Rooted in its Japanese background, its moniker denotes the meaning of configurable shipping containers, which emphasises adaptability and space practicality.

A chameleon, the electric minivan, or utility van concept is built to be a new type of compact space carrier, for commercial and personal use.

Its exterior and interior can be tailored to suit various roles, and support a range of applications. This allows it to integrate with smart grids and other social systems.
