The burgeoning local EV scene today is welcoming yet another two-wheeled contender, in the form of the Indonesian-based marque, the United E-Motor. Partnered with local investment holding company Artroniq Bhd, the Indonesian outfit launches two new e-scooter models under its belt today, the TX3000 and TX1800.

Starting with the larger of the two, the TX3000 is powered by a single 60-volt electric motor rated at 4,200 W, capable of delivering 125 NM of torque to this 118 KG-weight e-scooter. With a maximum top speed of 90 KM/H, the TX3000 boasts a maximum EV range of 120 KM, all provided by its two 60-volt battery packs that are swappable and directly rechargeable.

Aside from that, the TX3000 e-scooter boasts some standard equipment you expected to find in a proper, road-legal motorbike. This includes telescopic front suspension, combination brake system (CBS), full LED headlights and taillights, LCD digital instrument cluster, USB charging port, keyless entry and ignition, Bluetooth speakers with racer sound mode and radio FM support, and many more.

Moving on to TX1800, this e-scooter is noticeably smaller than the TX3000, tipping the scale at only 98 KG (claimed). Power is provided by a less potent electric motor rated at 2,000 KW, capable of delivering 106 NM of torque. This setup grants the TX1800 with a V-max of 75 KM/H, alongside a maximum EV range of 65 KM. Unlike the TX3000, the smaller TX1800 is juiced by a single 60-volt swappable battery pack, which can be charged from 0% to 80% in about 1.5 hours via a dedicated charging hub.

As a smaller, less potent model of the two, the TX1800 gets less equipment compared to its bigger sibling. While standard equipment like LED lights, keyless operation, LCD digital instrument cluster and Bluetooth speaker all come standard in the TX1800, this smaller e-scooter only comes with front and rear disc brakes instead of a CBS unit, while other hardwares are all similar to its bigger twin.

On the visual front, both the TX3000 and TX1800 look somewhat similar, featuring stylish maxi scooter body style. Aside from its badging, the only way to tell the difference between the two are with its size, with the TX3000 measuring 1,890 MM long, 765 MM wide, and 1,195 MM tall, while the TX1800 measures slightly smaller at 1,880 MM long, 765 MM wide, and 1,180 tall.

While both e-scooters already made its public debut in Malaysia today, both Artroniq and United E-Motor have yet to reveal the official prices for said two models. With the recent 2024 Malaysian budget providing lucrative incentives for new EV bikes in the form of cash rebates worth up to RM2,400, we can expect both the United E-Motor TX3000 and TX1800 to be priced rather competitively.

So folks, what do you think of the all-new United E-Motor TX3000 and TX1800 e-scooters? Would these e-scooters be a viable two-wheeled carbon-free alternative against the conventional, ICE-powered bikes available out there? Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below…
