Over 37,000 Traffic Summonses Settled During Madani One Year Anniversary Programme

A total of 37,242 traffic summonses were settled in two days from Friday at counters set up in conjunction with the Madani Government One Year Anniversary Programme, Bernama reported.
Datuk Mohd Azman Ahmad Sapri, director of the Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department, said that 12,300 traffic offenders paid their summonses at 14 counters as well as through discount vouchers on the Royal Malaysia Police's (PDRM) MyBayar portal and application.
“This campaign offers up to a 50 per cent reduction for selected traffic summonses and it has received a very encouraging response,” he said in a statement.
As part of the "One Year With the Madani Government" program, PDRM announced on Tuesday that from December 8 to 10, they will give a 50% discount on certain compound traffic summonses at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium grounds.
However, the offer excludes traffic offenses involving accidents for 2023, court cases with an arrest warrant or that are still in trial, and offenses that are not compoundable.
