- MINI Concept Aceman Steals The Limelight Singapore Motor Show 2024
Making its regional ASEAN debut at the Singapore Motor Show 2024 is the MINI Concept Aceman small premium EV SUV.
The BMW X2 and its all-electric iX2 twin weren’t the only lead highlights for the BMW Group at the Singapore Motor show 2024 happening this week. Displayed at the group’s MINI sub-brand’s stand at said show is the strikingly cool Concept Aceman EV SUV.
This marks said concept’s regional ASEAN debut, giving folks in our sunny side of the world a much clearer – and closer – look at what MINI says is the future of its design direction. Key to the Concept Aceman too is its adoption of novel yet sustainable premium materials lining its funky interior.
Initially intended as MINI’s vision of a new premium and all-electric small crossover, the Concept Aceman’s exterior design seamlessly merges traits that are both familiar and new to the MINI brand. In fact, MINI calls this design ethos “Charismatic Simplicity”.

Whilst this concept is on tour, MINI’s been busy preparing the production version, which is set to underpin a new electric vehicle (EV) architecture platform jointly developed with Chinese automaking giant Great Wall Motor (GWM) called the Mini Spotlight Platform.
The production-bound Aceman will be built in both China and the brand’s spiritual home of Oxford, England. Its market entry, on the other hand, is also reportedly slated for sometime later this year where it will slot below the new generation MINI Countryman electric model.
Unlike the Countryman mentioned, the Aceman will have a smaller footprint, and will see two guises available – one packing a 40 kWh battery and the another with a larger 50 kWh unit. Up to 181 HP and 220 HP outputs are expected respectively, along with at least 400 KM range too.
