New Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Debuts Alongside the AMR24 F1 Car
Aston Martin has revealed the new Vantage GT3 racecar alongside its 2024 Formula One contender, the AMR24 F1.
Following the debut of the new Vantage sportscar, Aston Martin has also debuted the racing version of said model, the Vantage GT3. Already making its debut at the 24 Hours of Daytona race last month, this GT3-spec car was revealed alongside the marque’s new Formula One (F1) contender, the AMR24 F1 car.

Starting with the GT3 racer, the new Vantage racecar brings a host of aerodynamics and chassis improvements over the previous model while boasting similar looks to its road-legal counterpart. Key visual highlights include the same front face featuring DB12-esque headlights as the standard Vantage, boxier fenders with integrated louvres, plus a new rear diffuser to complement its now larger GT rear wing.
Hiding beneath its carbon fibre widebody work is the new bonded aluminium chassis structure shared with its road-legal twin, promising better rigidity than its predecessor. Also similar is the 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 mill it uses, which has now been tweaked to comply with the FIA GT3 class regulations.
Similar to the roadcar, the Vantage GT3 also gets a reworked damper setup that AM claims has improved significantly over the previous-gen racer. As a result, Aston Martin said the new Vantage GT3 is a much easier car to drive, even for amateur racing drivers.
Aston Martin's AMR24 F1 racecar
Alongside the new Vantage GT3, Aston Martin has also revealed its latest F1 contender for the upcoming 2024 season, the AMR24. Besides its slightly-tweaked livery design, which is still dominated by the signature British Racing Green hue, the new F1 car also brings tons of improvements over last year’s contender.
On the aero side, the AMR24 gets a new front nose and wing design that helps to improve outwash at the other parts of the front. Besides the aero changes, the AMR24 also gets a new push-rod rear suspension setup, which is a customer part provided by AM’s engine supplier, the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team.
Besides this year’s Daytona, the new Aston Martin Vantage GT3 is also poised to participate in several top-flight GT championships, including the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship (IMSA), the Fanatec GT World Challenge, the European Le Mans Series (ELMS), and many more. The new Vantage GT3’s entrant in these series also marks the first collaboration between Aston Martin Racing (AMR) and the marque’s newly-formed tech arm, Aston Martin Performance Technologies (AMPT).
Meanwhile, the AMR24 F1 car is set to embark on the 2024 Formula One World Championship later this year. The record 24-race championship calendar will kick-start at the Bahrain Grand Prix, taking place later on March 2. For the 2024 season, AM retains its driver's lineup consisting of two-time World Champion Fernando Alonso and Canadian racer Lance Stroll.
