Auto China 2024: NETA Adopts Snapdragon Ride Flex, Inks MoU With Intro Synergy
NETA Auto, in partnership with Qualcomm and AutoLink, launched the latter’s Snapdragon Ride Flex (SA8775P) cockpit-to-drive fusion platform at Auto China 2024 this week. This platform represents a substantial leap in intelligent cockpit technology.
NETA Auto also announced that it is leading the way in the adoption of this breakthrough technology, with plans to commence mass production of automobiles equipped with the Snapdragon Ride Flex platform in the second quarter of 2025. This demonstrates NETA Auto's dedication towards developing sophisticated intelligent driving tech.
The Snapdragon Ride Flex platform differentiates itself by combining the functionality of digital cockpits and intelligent driving systems into a single System on Chip (SoC). It promises better processing power throughout its CPU, GPU, and NPU, allowing it to implement a wide range of advanced cockpit features which includes immersive 3D real-time rendering, ultra-high-definition 8K screens, and cutting-edge audio effects with low latency.
In terms of safety, the platform meets the ASIL-D functional safety standard, which is the highest level of automotive safety, thus making it a leader in overall performance. The Snapdragon Ride Flex delivers significant advancements and optimisations over prior generations of NETA Auto's cockpit technologies.
This technology, combined with NETA Auto's proprietary multi-screen and multi-modal interactions, provides an unrivalled driving, entertainment, comfort, and safety experience. It also promises to dramatically increase performance while delivering top-tier privacy and security protections to users.
During this tech’s launch event at Auto China 2024, NETA Auto also formally inked an agreement with Malaysian conglomerate Intro Synergy Sdn. Bhd. Together, both seek to develop a CKD facility at the recently established NexV Manufacturing Sdn Bhd (NMSB), in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan.
The CKD facility which plans to start production in Jan 2025, aims to have an annual capacity of 30,000 vehicles. This makes it an ideal fit into NETA's global distribution plans to fulfil rising demand in the electric vehicle market.
NETA will also work with local partners to construct a complete industry chain in Malaysia, including supply chains, sales channels, after-sales services, and charging facilities, thereby contributing to the growth of Malaysia's EV industry.
