- Continental And Brabus Puts New MaxContact MC7 To The Test
Continental Tyres and Brabus strengthened their long-standing cooperation with a new display of their joint prowess: testing the new MaxContact MC7 tyres, which are specifically tailored for the Asia-Pacific market.
The tests were conducted at Continental's famed Contidrom facility with the powerful Brabus 750 Bodo Buschmann Edition “1 of 25”, a vehicle that exemplifies great performance and exceptional engineering.
This edition, named after Brabus’ founder Bodo Buschmann, brilliantly displayed the new tyre's capacity to handle harsh circumstances. Specifically, the tyres tested were the MaxContact MC7 in 275/35R21 (front) and 315/30R21 (rear) size and profiles.
Dalibor Kalina, Continental's Head of Business Area Replacement Tyres APAC, said "the MaxContact MC7 signifies a new apex in our journey with Brabus, as we push the boundaries of daily driving to top performance levels. Using these tyres on a vehicle of such calibre demonstrates its exceptional potential.
The BRABUS 750 Bodo Buschmann Edition pretty much showcases the fusion of advanced performance and sophisticated engineering, achieving 0 to 100 KM/H sprints in just 3.3 seconds before hitting a top speed of 315 KM/H.
Furthermore, the MaxContact MC7 tires, like the Brabus they are mounted on, are designed to match this high level of performance, ensuring maximum control and precision handling. This is accomplished with revolutionary Cornering Macro-blocks and ReFlex Compound, which improves grip and stability, even during tight corners at high speeds.
The MaxContact MC7 tyres also include 3D Laser-cut Sipes, which improve grip and braking efficiency in wet conditions, considerably lowering the risk of aquaplaning.
Furthermore, the inclusion of silica technology in the ReFlex compound helps to reduce braking distances, delivering a safe and responsive driving experience in all weather conditions.
Continental and Brabus have had a strong collaborative cooperation for over a decade, resulting in the global tuning powerhouse only getting the very best from Continental in terms of extremely reliable and agile products.
This synergy is most visible in their latest partnerships, such as the new Brabus Rocket 1000 and R 900, both of which are primed with Continental's SportContact 7 tyres.
