Chery Auto Malaysia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Technology Depository Agency (TDA), a government body under the Ministry of Finance, during the Malaysia Autoshow 2024 (MAS 2024).

This collaboration demonstrates Chery Auto Malaysia's strong commitment in developing ESG standards in Malaysia's automotive industry that would eventually benefit the nation in the long run.

The TDA's Industrial Collaboration Programme (ICP) would provide Chery Auto Malaysia a link to local industry and important global technical partners. The ICP is also meant to assist Malaysian businesses in acquiring critical expertise and enhancing global competitiveness through government procurement.

This MoU proposes initiatives such as waste reduction, greener manufacturing techniques, and the investigation of responsible battery management practices in the EV industry.
