Face-lifted 2024MY Honda City Hatchback launched by Honda Malaysia yesterday.

At the official launch of the 2024 Honda City Hatchback facelift held yesterday, Honda Malaysia also took the opportunity to announce its first quarter (Q1) 2024 sales results, which proved highly promising to say the least.

The firm revealed that it shifted 21,500 vehicles in Q1 2024, thus marking a huge 23% year-on-year (YOY) increase. In contrast, Honda Malaysia shifted just 16,500 vehicles in the same period last year. With that, it appears Honda Malaysia is on-track towards achieving its 2024 target for 95,000 units.

Honda Malaysia revealed it shifted 21,500 vehicles in Q1 2024, marking a huge 23% YoY gain. The firm appears on track towards achieving its 2024 sales target of 96,000 units too.

Honda Malaysia also credited three models as the main drivers to this increase. Predictably, they were none other than the HR-V and CR-V crossover SUVs, with both ranked as the No. 1 models in their respective segments too. The third model named was the City B-segment sedan.

As a refresher, both the new sixth-generation CR-V crossover and face-lifted City sedan were launched in Dec and Aug last year respectively. The refreshed 2024MY City Hatchback launched yesterday is set to contribute towards Honda Malaysia’s target mentioned earlier.

Honda Malaysia credited models like the (clockwise) face-lifted City, new sixth-gen CR-V, and HR-V as key drivers to its sales increase.

Apart from that, Honda Malaysia also confirmed that it will introduce at least one more new model this year, but elected not to disclose any hints or naming it outright just. The firm also did not disclose a specific timeline for said new model’s introduction yet.

For now, the very latest from the H-brand is the refreshed 2024MY City Hatchback mentioned. As a refresher, five variants are available for which, including an electrified e:HEV RS sporty hybrid choice. Prices range between RM85,900 and RM112,900. More details are available in our launch report.
