- CATL Launches EV Experience Centre To Engage Customers Directly
CATL recently opened its new energy experience centre called Ning Space in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Through which, the firm strives to become the industry’s first EV battery manufacturer to engage directly with consumers.
Apart from shifting beyond the traditional business-to-business model, this initiative also aims to speed up the adoption of e-mobility on a larger scale.
Ning Space was devised through a collaborative effort between CATL, several car brands and the local government. It aims to deliver a comprehensive EV experience for consumers, allowing them to view, select, use, and learn about electric vehicles—all under one roof.
During the opening ceremony, Li Ping, Vice Chairman of CATL, expressed the company's ambition to lead in the rapidly evolving global energy landscape. Through Ning Space, CATL plans to bridge the gap between automakers and consumers with hopes to drive innovation and shared success across the industry.
Luo Jian, GM of CATL’s marketing department, emphasised that Ning Space will play a crucial role in fostering both "completeness" and "innovation" within the industry. Bringing together a wide array of vehicles in one location simplifies the process for consumers to find the right car while promoting a sustainable, low-carbon lifestyle.
As the first brand pavilion focused exclusively on electric vehicles, Ning Space covers 140,000 square feet and features nearly 100 models from around 50 different car brands. This setup creates a daily auto show-like environment, making it easy for consumers to explore various options.
Additionally, on-site EV experts are also available to answer questions and provide personalised recommendations, ensuring that each visitor finds a vehicle that suits their needs, budget, and preferences.
The centre also serves as a knowledge hub, offering insights into the history and evolution of electric vehicles, showcasing the latest advancements in battery technology, and hosting regular workshops on green energy and electric vehicles for visitors of all ages.
At the event, CATL also unveiled its new after-sales service brand, "NING SERVICE." Backed by a team of 112 professionals, this service aims to deliver top-notch battery maintenance, health checks, and mobile rescue operations.
