Following his Olympic Bronze medal win, national badminton ace Lee Zii Jia is set to bring home the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro SUV.
National badminton ace Lee Zii Jia has won Malaysia's second Bronze medal for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, as he defeated India’s Lakshya Sen in a thrilling, three-set Bronze medal match last night. This win also marks the first time Zii Jia has ever won an Olympic medal, with the ace making his first Olympic debut at the previous Tokyo 2020 games.

And just like his compatriots Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik, Zii Jia won’t just bring his Bronze medal home, as the national ace is also slated to drive home a brand new Chery Tiggo 7 Pro SUV courtesy of Chery Malaysia. This is part of the automaker’s campaign to support Malaysian athletes at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

“At Chery, we're revved up with pride, honouring our Malaysian tiger's remarkable journey and the extraordinary impact he’s made. Congratulations, Lee Zii Jia!” reads Chery Malaysia’s official statement via its Facebook page.

This campaign sees the Wuhu-based automaker pledge to award our national heroes at the Paris 2024 Olympics with some of its SUV models, such as the Tiggo 8 Pro for Gold medal winners, the Omoda E5 EV for Silver medalists, and the Tiggo 7 Pro for those who won the Bronze medal.
"We know they have put in the hard work and long hours of training for the games. We have high hopes that this year, Malaysia will achieve the coveted gold medal that the nation has been eyeing," said Chery Auto Malaysia President Leo Chen during the launch event of this campaign earlier this year.
While both Zii Jia and the Chia-Soh duo have won the Tiggo 7 Pro, it remains to be seen whether any of our athletes will bring home the elusive Olympic Gold medal and subsequently the grand prize of the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro SUV.
With the badminton events coming to a conclusion yesterday, all eyes are now focused on track cycling, as Datuk Azizulhasni Awang, cordially known as the ‘Pocket Rocket Man’, is the next favourite candidate to bring Malaysia its first-ever Olympic Gold medal.
