Chery Malaysia Supports Local Athletes at Upcoming Paris Olympics

Chery Malaysia has partnered with KBS to support local athletes at the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris.
Chery Malaysia, in collaboration with the Malaysian Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS), has announced its commitment to support local athletes who will be heading for the upcoming Olympic games in Paris next month.

This partnership collaboration was announced by Chery Auto Malaysia President Leo Chen in an event earlier today, which was also attended by Datuk Stuart Ramalingam, CEO of the Malaysian Football League (MFL) and Coordinator of the Road to Gold Programme. Also present here were Chery dignitaries from China, led by Chery Automobile Co. Ltd. Chairman Yi Tongyue, as well as Chery International President Zhang Guibing and Executive Vice President Chen Cun Qing.

As part of its support for the local athletes competing in the upcoming summer Olympics, Chery Auto Malaysia has also pledged to award the Malaysian Gold Medal Winners with a brand new Chery Tiggo 8 Pro 7-seater SUV, followed by a brand new Chery Omoda E5 EV SUV for the Silver Medal Winners. Meanwhile, local athletes who win the bronze medal will bring home the upcoming Chery Tiggo 7 Pro C-segment SUV.

"We know they have put in the hard work and long hours of training for the games. We have high hopes that this year, Malaysia will achieve the coveted gold medal that the nation has been eyeing," said Chery Auto Malaysia President Leo Chen.
“We are indeed very happy with the pledge by Chery Malaysia to reward Malaysian athletes who will do well in the upcoming Olympics in Paris. We hope this will spur the athletes to give their best and make the country proud," said National Sports Council Director-General Abdul Rashid Yaakub.


Globally, the Chery Group is supporting local athletes from various countries who will be competing in the upcoming games. In Malaysia, various activities, including viewing parties, have been organised to cheer on our athletes.
“To the Malaysian contingent, know that Chery Malaysia will be cheering you on every step of the way,” added Leo.
