BMW Group Malaysia EV Fleet Powers 17th WCEC Convention

BMW Group Malaysia, in partnership with authorised dealer Wheelcorp Premium, sponsored this year’s World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention (WCEC) with a fleet of premium chauffeured BMW electric vehicles (EVs).

The 17th WCEC, hosted by the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM), took place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from Sept 9 to 11, 2024.

The biennial event gathers global Chinese entrepreneurs, business leaders, and representatives from Malaysia's trade chambers for networking, collaboration, and discussions with policy makers.

According to BMW Group Malaysia Director of Corporate Communications and Sustainability, Sashi Ambi, “The WCEC promotes innovation and forward-thinking which aligns with BMW’s mission to advance cutting-edge technologies and sustainable mobility.”

He further added, that the BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport and BMW i7 xDrive60 M Sport used in the event embody the forward thinking principles of WCEC."

Meanwhile, Jayden Liew, MD of Wheelcorp Premium, said, “We deliver more than vehicles at Wheelcorp Premium; we offer experiences that reflect BMW’s excellence and innovation.”

The 17th WCEC hosted over 4,000 delegates with more than 3,000 international entrepreneurs.
