SAIC Motor Malaysia Named Emory QiFeng As MD

Mr-Emory-QiFeng-with-all-new-MG5.jpg SAIC Motor Malaysia has named Mr. Emory QiFeng as the new Managing Director. With over 25 years of experience in the global automotive industry, Qi will spearhead the company's and its MG brand's expansion into the Malaysian market as it continues to grow its market here.
Emory Qi began his career in 1998 and held a number of leadership positions at SAIC-Volkswagen Sales Co., Ltd. He was particularly skilled at network planning and development and after-sales strategy.

Qi became a part of SAIC Motor Malaysia in 2024 as the Chief Operating Officer. He was later promoted to Managing Director, where he will be in charge of managing sales, marketing, and product strategy, among other areas of their operations. “It is an honour to step into this new role at SAIC Motor Malaysia during such an exciting time for the company. My focus will be on continuing the momentum we have built in this market, expanding our product offerings, and delivering a superior customer experience. SAIC formally returned to the Malaysian market with the debut of the MG ZS EV and MG4 in March this year. The new MG5, which is launching tomorrow, is anticipated to be the new rival to the Honda City, Nissan Almera, and Toyota Vios in the local market.
