MG Motor Malaysia has announced special mid-year deals for both the MG5 fastback saloon and the MG4 EV hatch.

MG Motor Malaysia has announced a special mid-year deal on two of its most popular models, the MG5 fastback sedan and the MG4 EV hatch.

Starting with the MG5, this sleek fastback saloon is now available with a rebate worth RM7,000, thus bringing its original MSRP tag down from RM93,900 to RM86,900. Notably, this special deal offers the same amount of rebate as the special introductory offer given to the MG5 during its launch.

Despite this rebate, the Malaysian-spec MG5 is still the same as its launch model, featuring a sporty fastback design with decent driving dynamics to match. Fully imported (CBU) from Thailand, this fastback sedan is powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cyl DVVT naturally aspirated petrol mill that churns out 114 HP and 150 NM. Moving on to the MG4, MG Motor Malaysia has organised a “Drive Now, Pay Later” campaign in a bid to promote Malaysians to switch their ICE cars for this sporty EV hatch. This campaign offers up to 12 months of free instalments for the MG4 Lux and up to 8 months for the MG4 Standard, making this EV hatch more accessible and attainable than before.

The Malaysian-spec MG4 is positioned as one of the most affordable new EVs available in our market. Four variants are available to pick, with the baseline MG4 Standard starting at RM103,999, while the top-spec MG4 XPower, which we’ve previously tested, retails at RM158,999.

Those who are keen to try out both the MG5 and MG4 are invited to test drive them at any nearby MG Motor Malaysia dealerships. Besides these two models, visitors can also try out the new MG S5 EV SUV, which is now available for test drives starting from this weekend.
