Previously known as Kumpool, Kummute recently launched  its own e-hailing service called Kumride. The platform provides Demand-Responsive Transit (DRT) services, which allow you to hail a van within specific areas for a small fee.

However, you are only able to travel between these locations. Similarly, its e-hailing service only allows you to select specific pickup and drop-off locations for distances between 3 and 7 kilometers. WhatsApp-Image-2024-11-13-at-11.27.18.jpeg

Petaling Jaya, Bandar Sunway, Central Sunway, KLGCC Resort, Cyberjaya, UTM & Taman Universiti, Seri Austin & Taman Daya, Food Bayana, and Bayan Lepas are the ten locations where Kumride currently operates. The service's operating hours vary by location, so it's best to check the app before making travel plans.

Kummute, which is compatible with both iOS and Android devices, currently accepts cash and Kumpool Wallet as payment methods. With rides starting at just RM1, it is probably the cheapest e-hailing service in Malaysia right now.

Kummute is this year's third new entrant into Malaysia's e-hailing market. Lalamove, an instant courier service, followed shortly after with Lalamove Ride, and Bolt abruptly started their service here just last week.
