Credit: SugarDesign. Last year, the Tesla Model Y became the world's best-selling vehicle and the first pure electric vehicle to dominate the global market. Even though some rumors insist on late November, we are now just a few months away from the unveiling of a completely new model. The new EV, codenamed Juniper, is still under wraps, but some speculate that it will be an update heavily influenced by the Model 3 Highland.

As rumors circulate, SugarDesign, a Chinese auto blogger contacted by CNC and tipped off by Tesla insiders, has released a render of the new EV based on news and spy photos. It's also surprising to see that the EV SUV has full-width LED light bars on both the front and rear end, an element that adds a futuristic touch and distinguishes the new Model Y from its predecessor.

Alluding to Xpeng's full-width LED light bar, which is a signature design language for its entire model lineup, SugarDesign also released renders of the new Model Y's appearance, stating that Tesla is implementing notes from China EVs.

Performance changes are among the most exciting aspects of model refreshes. Naturally, an EV's electric motor count can vary, but power boosts might not be as noticeable as they are in their ICE counterparts. Again, the Model 3 Highland update from Tesla may provide some clues about the Juniper's future.
