Auto Bavaria and Affin Group Partner to Expand EV Charging Infrastructure
BMW superdealer Auto Bavaria has partnered with Affin Group to expand Malaysia’s EV charging infrastructure.
Leading BMW dealer Auto Bavaria has announced a strategic collaboration with Affin Group in a bid to enhance the nation’s electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. This partnership aligns with both companies’ environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals, aimed at fostering more responsible mobility solutions.
Auto Bavaria is no stranger to its commitment to developing and further growing the local EV infrastructure, as seen in its partnership with several other EV-related entities prior. Through this newly-formed partnership with Affin Group, one of Malaysia’s most renowned financial institutions, Auto Bavaria is set to accelerate the availability and accessibility of EV charging facilities not only in Malaysia but also across the region.
Among the first efforts done through this new partnership is the installation of seven units of AC chargers and one unit of a DC charger at EV charging stations at Menara Affin in the Tun Razak Exchange (TRX). Beyond this EV charging station, we can expect to see both entities establishing more EV charging facilities across the nation, as well as several tailored financing options to make EVs more accessible to the public.
Commenting on this significant partnership establishment, Auto Bavaria managing director Vi Thim Juan said, “At Auto Bavaria, we believe that electric vehicles are the driving force behind future mobility. This partnership with Affin underscores our dedication to enhancing EV infrastructure development and supporting Malaysia’s shift towards a low-carbon economy.”
Together, we are empowering drivers to make responsible mobility choices and contribute to a lower carbon footprint in their automotive ownership needs,” the MD added.

Meanwhile, Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah, president and CEO of Affin Bank Berhad, said, “Our collaboration reaffirms Affin’s unwavering commitment to our ESG agenda, creating a positive impact for the future while providing a seamless and convenient customer experience.”
“Leveraging our expertise in auto financing, we are committed to making EVs more accessible. We believe this will make EV ownership easier and more achievable, contributing to a broader shift towards sustainability,” the CEO added.
