Sime Motors has helped to strengthen BYD’s aftersales support by expanding its network to 21 centres in 2024.

As the official distributor of BYD cars in Malaysia, Sime Motors has helped to expand BYD’s aftersales network in Malaysia. To date, the company has established 21 BYD service centres nationwide, all promising to deliver exceptional care and peace of mind to all BYD owners in Malaysia.

These 21 service centres are strategically located around both the Peninsula and East Malaysia regions, covering key areas like the Klang Valley, Penang, Johor Bahru, the East Coast, as well as both Sabah and Sarawak. More importantly, 17 of these 21 centres are equipped with a dedicated Body & Paint (B&P) centre, providing expert body repair services on top of the usual aftersales services for all BYD EVs.

Additionally, these service centres are supplemented by some other key facilities, including several centralised Parts Distribution Centres (PDCs) that are all digitally managed to ensure timely and sufficient parts delivery to service centres and dealers nationwide. To ensure each and every BYD car is delivered to customers in perfectly mint condition, Sime Motors has also established a dedicated pre-delivery inspection (PDI) centre that is equipped with a three-level mechanical parking system for better space efficiency and swifter inspection works.

Not to forget, all of BYD’s 21 service centres are manned by a team of BYD-certified high-voltage (HV) technicians, with ongoing training to ensure 100% certification. These professionals undergo extensive, multi-level programmes, making them fully equipped to deliver top-tier EV maintenance and repair services.

In line with its commitment to providing peace-of-mind ownership to all BYD owners, Sime Motors offers extensive standard warranty packages for all BYD cars in Malaysia, which include a 6-year or 150,000 KM vehicle warranty, an 8-year or 160,000 KM battery warranty with complimentary battery replacement if the state-of-health falls below 70%, as well as a separate 8-year or 150,000 KM warranty for the drive unit.

On top of those standard warranty packages, Sime Motors is also offering special service packages that are tailored to suit varying customer needs. Available in 3, 6 and 8-year options, these packages come in Standard and Plus tiers to accommodate both customers’ high and low usage patterns. Not to mention, customers can also bundle these packages with their car loans for added convenience.
