Fuel retailers Shell Malaysia officially launched its new and improved Shell FuelSave Diesel fuels for Peninsular Malaysia earlier today. This follows up from the firm’s successful introduction of said newly formulated diesel fuel in East Malaysia prior.

“As Malaysians navigate changes like the rationalisation of the [diesel] fuel subsidy, the New + Improved Shell FuelSave Diesel provides a practical solution, offering extended mileage to help drivers go further with every tank,” said Seow Lee Ming, Shell Malaysia’s GM of Mobility Malaysia, during the new fuel’s launch earlier today.

Featuring a new and improved formulation, Shell Malaysia touts that the new Shell FuelSave Diesel can yield up to 19 KM more range per tank.

According to Shell Malaysia, its new Shell FuelSave Diesel features a revised new formulation to become the brand’s most fuel-efficient diesel fuel to date. The retailer goes as far to claim that the fuel delivers up to 19 KM more range per tank on average.

“Whether powering through the bustling streets of Kuala Lumpur in a diesel passenger car, hauling heavy loads up the rugged slopes of Cameron Highlands in a four-wheel-drive pick-up, or navigating rural roads and muddy trails on the way to Terengganu, this New + Improved Shell FuelSave Diesel is designed to go further in various road conditions," adds Seow.

Besides enhanced efficiency, Shell Malaysia also claims its revised Shell FuelSave Diesel boasts deep-cleaning properties thanks to double-action deposit targeting additives.

Like before, the renewed fuel also boasts deep-cleaning properties stemming from the double-action deposit targeting additives added. In turn, this sees the fuel boast the ability to remove up to 65% of harmful deposits to better protect the engine against future build-up.

The new and improved Shell FuelSave Diesel is now available for purchase from Shell stations across Peninsular Malaysia. As per the government’s diesel subsidy rationalisation scheme, Shell’s new diesel fuel detailed is presently priced at RM3.18 per litre in Euro 5 (Maingrade) form and at RM3.38 per litre in Euro 5 B7 grade.
