A motorcyclist was killed in a six-vehicle accident on Jalan Hulu Langat-Ampang yesterday (Feb 3). According to Kajang police chief Naazron Abdul Yusof, an early investigation revealed that the collision occurred at 4.45pm while four motorcyclists and a car were travelling from Hulu Langat to Ampang.
“A car coming from the direction of Ampang entered the opposite lane and rammed all five vehicles, causing one of the motorcyclists to be flung to the side of the road,” Sinar Harian quoted him as saying in a statement today.
A 20-year-old motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and landed on the roadside during the incident. Five other individuals, including motorcyclists and their passengers, sustained injuries and were transported to Hospital Ampang for treatment.

While the cause of the accident is being looked into, the vehicles have been transported to Puspakom and the Chemistry Department for further inspection, according to Naazron.
“All victims are aged between 17 and 38 years, while the 27-year-old Alza driver has been arrested, and a remand application will be made today.
“The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. Any information can be directed to Investigating Officer Inspector Narolhisyam Endi at 019-5897115,“ he said.
