XPeng officially launched the 2025 G6, introducing a range of significant upgrades despite being classified as a facelift. According to a report on CarNewsChina, the new model boasts 81 improvements and replaces 34% of its tier-one components.

Among the key enhancements is the integration of the advanced AI Turing intelligent driving system - a new standard for autonomous driving technology.

The 2025 XPeng G6 receives a striking front-end makeover. A new full-width "galaxy light wing" LED strip replaces the previous segmented design, giving the vehicle a sleek and modern look. This we argue mimics the new lighting arrangement on the recently launched Tesla Model Y “Juniper”.

The XPeng logo has been repositioned to the hood, while a distinctive blue light indicator highlights the AI-driven intelligent driving system.

The lower grille now features a blackened trapezoidal shape, contributing to a sportier stance. While the side profile is accentuated by black-finished petal-style alloy wheels (we prefer the previous design honestly), reinforcing the coupe-like aesthetic.

The wheel arches have also been reworked to flow cleaner by deleting previous "cladding" design. At the rear, a revised bumper and a new ducktail spoiler add a dynamic and aggressive touch.

The 2025 G6 thanks to the reworked bumpers now measure 3MM longer at 4,758 MM while all other dimensions remain - 1,920 MM wide, 1,650 MM tall and a wheelbase of 2,890 MM.

Inside, XPeng has made several refinements. A new interior color scheme, upgraded materials, and a refreshed layout enhance the cabin's premium feel. The displays are also larger with the floating infotainment screen now measuring 15.6-inch complemented by a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 9-inch streaming media rearview mirror.

With comfort being the key, the 2025 Xpeng G6’s front seats now feature ventilation, heating, and an advanced massage function developed with a top orthopedic hospital. XPeng claims this shiatsu-level massage function is the most powerful in its class, ensuring ultimate relaxation for passengers.

The vehicle also offers a best-in-class room ratio of 85.6%, providing a spacious and comfortable experience for both front and rear passengers. The rear seat backrest supports 12 levels of adjustment, catering to various seating preferences.

The interior refinement extends to an ultra-fine suede headliner and precision-fitted panels, with instrument panel and door gaps are further reduced to just 5±2mm for a seamless look. Over 50% of the door panels are wrapped in leather, and the wireless charging area has been upgraded with soft-touch materials.

A new wood grain trim on the dashboard, along with an upgraded ambient lighting system dubbed "galaxy rhythm," further elevates the cabin’s sophistication.

However, for now we are unsure if the rear passenger windows will get the similar double glazed treatment as the front, a feature missing from the previous model.

Powertrain wise, the 2025 G6 retains its single-motor setup, built on an 800V platform. The electric motor, manufactured at XPeng’s Wuhan facility, delivers a slightly improved 292 HP (218 kW) of maximum power. The vehicle is equipped with a 5C ultra-fast charging AI battery, ensuring improved range and significantly faster charging times.

XPeng has also focused on enhancing efficiency, although specific range figures have yet to be disclosed. Meanwhile, the AI Turing intelligent driving system promises advanced autonomous capabilities, making the driving experience smoother and more intuitive.

Deliveries in China are set to begin in early March, with display models already arriving at dealerships. As for Malaysia, the XPeng G6 was just launched in August 2024, and we assume that once the right-hand-drive version of the 2025 G6 becomes available, it will also be introduced here.
