- Jetour Dashing C-SUV Set to Debut on April 2025
Jetour Auto Malaysia is set to launch its first model, the Dashing C-segment SUV, later in April this year.
Almost a year since making its first public appearance in Malaysia, the Jetour Dashing is now ready to make its full local debut later in April this year. This was confirmed by Jetour Auto Malaysia via its official Facebook page.
For those who aren’t familiar with Jetour, this new Chinese automaker is part of the Chery Holding Group, although it operates separately from Chery’s other sub-brands in Malaysia, which falls under the Chery International umbrella.

With that being said, the new Jetour Dashing is positioned as the brand’s C-segment SUV fighter, featuring a sharp and distinctive design in a sporty, coupe-ish SUV bodystyle. Dimension-wise, the Dashing is quite comparable to other C-segment SUVs in our market, measuring 4,590 MM long, 1,900 MM wide, 1,685 MM tall, and having a wheelbase of 2,720 MM.
On board, the Dashing comes exclusively in a two-row five-seater form, with its innards brimming with a slew of comfort and modern amenities. Key highlights include leather seat upholstery, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a 50-watt wireless charging pad, and a dual 10.25-inch screen that houses both the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment system that supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
For right-hand drive (RHD) markets like Malaysia, the Dashing comes solely in the full-ICE version, featuring a 1.5-litre 4-cyl turbo-petrol mill. Rated at 156 HP and 230 NM, said mill is mated to a 6-speed DCT automatic gearbox that helps to facilitate power delivery to its front wheels (FWD).
As detailed prior, the new Jetour Dashing will be locally assembled (CKD) in Malaysia, with Jetour Malaysia set to use the upcoming C-SUV as part of its rapid expansion plan for 2025. The automaker aims to open 20 outlets nationwide, with at least 10 of them, comprising both 3S and 4S centres, set to be opened within Q1 this year. As of now, no detailed dates or tentative pricing were unveiled by the automaker, but we expect to know them as we get closer to April 2025.
