- Mazda EZ-60 EV Crossover Official Images Unveiled in China
Mazda has published the first few official images of its new all-electric crossover in China, the Mazda EZ-60.
Mazda has just published several official images of its latest all-electric model, the Mazda EZ-60. Similar to the Mazda EZ-6 (or Mazda 6e in global markets), the new EZ-60 will be getting its electric powertrain setup from Mazda’s Chinese technology partner, Changan.

Previously unveiled in its concept form known as the Mazda Arata, the new EZ-60 gets a pretty sleek and low-slung crossover bodystyle, while still adhering to the signature Kodo design language many modern Mazdas are known for.
Besides the elongated front hood and sleek roofline, the EZ-60 also gets some futuristic design bits, including its illuminated front grille that connects to the main LED headlights, an illuminated Mazda logo at the front, slim LED taillights, flushed door handles, and digital side-view cameras, to name a few.
Unfortunately, as of now, Mazda has yet to give any details regarding the EZ-60’s interior, but we reckon it will at least match the premium cabin setup primed inside its saloon twin.
The EZ-60 will use the same platform and powertrain setup as the Malaysian-bound Changan Deepal S07 EV SUV.
What has also yet to be revealed are the exact dimensions of the new EZ-60. But given the model will be sharing the same EPA1 platform as the Changan Deepal S07 EV SUV, we can expect the new EV SUV to have similar dimensions. For reference, the Deepal S07 measures 4,750 MM long, 1,930 MM wide, 1,625 MM tall, and a wheelbase of 2,900 MM, thus making it on par with other popular EV SUVs like the Tesla Model Y, Xpeng G6, and many more.
More details on the EZ-60’s powertrain specs, the EPA1 modular platform—which is also being used by the Mazda EZ-6—can be used in either full battery electric (BEV) or range-extender EV (EREV) forms. But in the EZ-60’s case, CarNewsChina reports that it will adopt the same BEV powertrain specs as its aforementioned Changan twin.
In China, the Deepal S07 comes with two single-motor RWD variants—215 HP (160 kW) for the baseline variant and 255 HP (190 kW) for the top-spec model. Similarly, two battery options are available for the SUV, namely the 68.8-kWh LFP unit that supplies up to 520 KM of range and a larger 80-kWh ternary NMC pack that promises up to 628 KM of range.
We can expect to learn more about the remaining details for the Mazda EZ-60 as we get closer to its first public debut, which will take place at the upcoming Auto Shanghai 2025 motor show.
