Recently, the MOT, through the Road Transport Department (JPJ) and in partnership with Puspakom, successfully improved the inspection center's inspection process. These improvements included modifying the inspection checklist to prioritize road safety concerns and preventing misuse of the booking system by middlemen.

According to Loke, his ministry has also revised the Civil Aviation Regulations for Unmanned Aircraft Systems, with new regulations planned for implementation by the fourth quarter of 2025. Additionally, the minimum age requirement for school buses has been changed from 10 years to a maximum of 1 year from the maximum age limit for use, while the maximum age limit remains at 30 years, as confirmed by the minister. download-(28).jpg

The country's public transportation network is expanding thanks to MOT’s ongoing efforts. A significant milestone was reached on March 15, 2025, with the launch of the Electric Train Service (ETS) expansion to Segamat.
Seven new routes were also added to the Rapid On-Demand service schedule on March 27, 2025. Rapid KL and Rapid Penang's Rapid On-Demand Services currently operate 110 vans across 37 routes. The transportation hub, Gombak Integrated Terminal, has started its operations recently, he stated. download-(29).jpg

To enhance national transportation infrastructure, the transport minister announced that a Strategic Cooperation Agreement was formalized between KTMB and Inland Port Perlis Sdn. Bhd. to bolster national transportation infrastructure and augment regional rail connectivity.

Loke further stated that the inauguration of Sentuhan Madani Kiosk Phase 2 at Kuala Lumpur Central Station on March 13th facilitated expanded public access to governmental services in key locations. ktmb_1724284816.jpg

In an effort to strengthen regional economic operations, the minister revealed that the ASEAN Framework Agreement on the Facilitation of Inter-State Transport (AFAFIST) was ratified in March aimed at improving the movement of cross-border goods vehicles.

He also highlighted KLIA's ranking in the Top 10 globally for service quality in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Survey 2024, which was conducted by Airports Council International (ACI).

“I appreciate the hard work of all MOT staff who have ensured the successful planning and execution of all our programs and projects. I am incredibly proud of everything we have achieved,” Loke remarked.
