- PRO-NET Rolls Out First OTA Update for e.MAS 7
PRO-NET has reached out to e.MAS 7 owners, announcing that the model’s first-ever Over-the-Air (OTA) software update will begin rolling out starting this week.
The update marks a significant milestone as it begins testing the automaker’s OTA infrastructure while introducing several functional improvements to the electric SUV.
The update includes a new Start/Stop Charging button on the DHU screen, aimed at simplifying the charging process. Another addition is a “View Location During Sleep” toggle that, when enabled, allows the vehicle to update its location before entering sleep mode. This feature is off by default.
Driving refinement is also part of the package. Adjustments to the ABS system have resulted in smoother deceleration, while improved cold start logic enhances voltage stability during AC preheating in low-temperature conditions.
While the update brings noticeable improvements, many e.MAS 7 owners are voicing frustration on social media over the lack of progress on long-standing user-reported issues.
One of the most commonly cited concerns is the absence of an option to disable or change the low-speed warning sound, often likened to an “ice cream truck” jingle. Despite repeated community feedback, this feature remains unchanged.
Another persistent issue is the failure of the radio system to retain station presets between drives. Owners have been raising the matter since launch, yet no fix has been implemented.
In online groups and owner forums, users are also highlighting technical concerns with phone screen mirroring. Many report the screen going black after about 10 minutes, though input functionality continues in the background. The issue often requires reconnecting the phone through the app, causing inconvenience during use.
There are also increasing calls for interface enhancements. Users are requesting more customizable shortcut buttons and a split-screen capability to allow for better multitasking within the vehicle's infotainment system.
Despite these concerns, Pro-Net’s move to introduce OTA functionality is seen as a positive step, signaling a roadmap of continuous updates and improvements for the e.MAS platform.
Pro-Net has assured that as the country’s first national EV brand they will continue to refine its systems and listen to feedback, with its developers working hard at addressing the more nagging issues in future updates.
