- Rapid Bus Adds Seven New Klang Valley Routes
Rapid Bus will introduce seven new routes starting April 30. This is aimed towards improving connections between Rapid KL’s On-Demand services and major rail networks like KTM Komuter and KLIA Transit.
In a statement, Rapid Bus said the new routes will benefit commuters and transit passengers, especially from Kajang, Bangi, and Salak Tinggi.
The new links include KTM Kajang–Jalan Reko, KTM UKM–UKM, Bandar Tasik Kesuma–Bandar Rinching, KTM Bangi–Bandar Bukit Mahkota, MRT 16 Sierra–Taman D’Alpinia, LRT Putra Heights–Rimbayu/Bandar Saujana Putra and Salak Tinggi KLIA Transit–Kota Warisan.
Acting CEO Ku Jamil Zakaria said the move will make commuting smoother by offering better connections to onward destinations, improving journey planning, and strengthening first- and last-mile links.
"It will add convenience for public transport users beyond the existing Rapid KL bus and train services," he said.
Rapid Bus currently operates Rapid KL buses as well as MRT and LRT feeder buses.
Furthermore, since launching Rapid KL On-Demand in Jan 2024, 34 zones have become operational across the Klang Valley, with daily ridership peaking at 7,442 passengers.
The On-Demand service, available via Mobi, Trek Rides or Kummute apps (depending on the zone), runs from 6AM to 11.30PM with a promotional fare of RM1.
