- MAS 2025: GWM Tank 500 HEV Races to 150 Bookings
Hot on the heels of the GWM Tank 500 HEV’s official launch at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025 (MAS 2035), GWM Malaysia announced that it has secured 150 bookings for its new luxury 4x4 SUV.
According to GWM Malaysia, the strong response reflects growing consumer confidence in GWM’s premium off-road offering, which blends rugged capability with upscale refinement.
In light of this milestone, GWM Malaysia is extending its Limited Edition Premium Gift Set offer to all customers who place their bookings before 18 May 2025. This means more buyers now have the chance to enjoy added value with their new SUV.
As previously reported, the GWM Tank 500 HEV made its official debut recently with a confirmed price of RM328,800.
Built on a full-size 7-seat SUV platform, it features a hybrid powertrain comprised a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine paired with an electric motor and battery system, delivering a combined 341 HP and 648 NM.
Inside, the Tank 500 HEV is generously equipped with quilted Nappa leather upholstery, ventilated power-adjustable seats for both first and second rows, power-folding third-row seats, triple-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof and dual displays – a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch infotainment unit.
Safety features include six airbags, stability control, and a full ADAS suite that even includes a unique “wisdom dodge” function.
Buyers can look forward to a comprehensive ownership package featuring a lifetime warranty on the powertrain, transmission and HEV system, an eight-year or 200,000 KM hybrid battery warranty, and a six-year, unlimited mileage vehicle warranty.
Included too, albeit as a limited time offer, is a five-year free service and maintenance plan covering both parts and labour.
The GWM Tank 500 HEV is now on display at GWM Malaysia’s booth in Hall A at MAS 2025.
