MAS 2025: New SoloEra E-Motorcycle Sub-Brand Previews Three Models
Making its debut at MAS 2025 is the new SoloEra e-motorcycles sub-brand developed by Blueshark Malaysia.
Apart from four-wheelers, the Malaysia Autoshow 2025 (MAS 2025) also sees over a dozen motorcycle brands present and on show too. Amongst them, what caught our attention was a small-scale debut by new a brand called SoloEra.
Developed by a familiar name – Blueshark Malaysia (Sharkgulf Technologies Group) - SoloEra is presented as a new “high-value” sub-brand. Critically, just like Blueshark, offerings from SoloEra will also be locally assembled (CKD) by EPMB in Glenmarie, Shah Alam.
In terms of positioning, SoloEra slots below Blueshark. This is evident in the three new models previewed at the SoloEra showcase corner integrated in the main Petronas booth located in the main Hall A of MAS 2025.
Previewed at MAS 2025 were three models - Solo 1 (top left), Solo 2(top right), and the Solo 3 (above).
Unlike the Blueshark R1 we sampled prior, the new SoloEra Solo 1, Solo 2, and Solo 3 models displayed here take on a more traditional, no-frills approach towards e-motorcycling – these make do with way less advanced tech and ‘toys’.
However, just like the Blueshark R1 mentioned, these SoloEra models share the same swappable battery tech at their base. From which, Carz.com.my was also hinted by a good source that all three can yield over 100 KM of real world range as well.
As a reference, the Blueshark R1 is driven by an in-wheel hub e-motor outputting 6.7 HP (5 KW) and 201 NM. Said motor is juiced by two swappable 2.88 kWh LFP battery packs, though the system can still run on just a single pack if needed too.
Creators Blueshark Malaysia (Sharkgulf Technologies Group) didn't dish out any specs, but did instead confirm the use of the same swappable battery tech as the Blueshark brand.
Again, no official specifications were dished out, but the Solo 1 ,Solo 2, and Solo 3 models mentioned should boast similar levels of power and performance given that it shares the same swappable-battery tech base.
Before you ask, we were also informed by the same source that this trio of SoloEra e-motorcycles will be homologated for road use, just like its Blueshark sibling. This also means that riders will need to possess a B2 class licence to ride them.
Carz.com.my can also confirm that all three SoloEra bikes will require B2 class licence to ride on the road too.
Following this preview, all three SoloEra e-motorcycles will also be displayed at the main Blueshark Showroom & 3S Centre in Glenmarie, Shah Alam. After which, the brand is set to officially launch itself sometime in either June or July this year.
Expect more details as we ger closer to said official launch. For now, keen prospects can take their first early look at all three new SoloEra e-motorcycles on display at MAS 2025, which runs until May 15 at MAEPS, Serdang.
