Launched: Maserati Grecale Folgore – 557 PS, 500 KM Range, From RM588,000
Besides the GranTurismo Folgore (left), Naza Italia also launched the new and fully-electric Maserati GranTurismo Folgore locally this week too.

Besides the new and all-electric Maserati GranTurismo Folgore, local Maserati brand importers and distributors – again, for now – Naza Italia also charged up its local line-up with another all-electric addition in the form of the new Maserati Grecale Folgore.
As a refresher, the Grecale Folgore stands as the Italian trident marque’s first ever EV SUV offering. Like the GranTurismo Folgore, the Grecale Folgore also benefits from the government’s on-going tax break for fully imported (CBU) EVs, hence its RM588,000 starting price tag.
The Grecale Folgore stands as the Italian marque's first EV SUV offering.

For reference, the combustion (ICE)-powered Grecale model launched locally last year is actually priced higher from RM634,889 instead. Again, on the performance front at least, the Folgore variant delivers quite the performance bargain yet again.
The latter is evident in the adoption of a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup rated at 557 PS and 820 NM. In turn, this Porsche Macan fighter despatch 0-100 KM/H dashes in 4.1 secs and hit a claimed V-Max of 220 KM/H.
Juicing said dual e-motors is a sizeable 105 kWh battery pack that yields a claimed WLTP max range of up to 500 KM. As for charging, the 400-volt architecture sees the pack mentioned accept 22 KW AC and 150 kW DC inputs, the latter enabling 20-80% re-charges in just 29 minutes.

Wth a 400-volt architecture underneath, the Grecale accepts both 22 kW AC and 150 kW DC charging inputs (left) whilst the cabin largely mirrors the ICE-powered version.

As for the cabin, the Grecale Folgore largely mirrors its ICE-powered twin, with Maserati touting that “every detail is shaped with care, delivering performance and versatility.” We’ll add that there’s even a 535-litre boot present that promises to deliver respectable levels of daily practicality to boot.

In the meantime, Naza Italia are now accepting orders for the first ever EV SUV model to bear the famed Itallian trident emblem renowned for luxury and performance.
