- Proton e.MAS 7 May 2025 Sales Sees YTD Total Surpass 3,600 Units
National automaker Proton noted positive growth all around with its recently published May 2025 sales figures.

Earlier last week, national carmaker Proton disclosed its May 2025 sales figures. Here, the national automaker touted positive growth all around, charting both 6.1% year-on-year (yoY) and 5.% month-on-month (MoM) increases to reach a year-to-date (YTD) total sales of 61,087 units.
From which, P1 had initially detailed that its groundbreaking first electric vehicle (EV) offering, the Proton e.MAS 7, saw a total of 916 units shifted throughout last month. Now, the automaker’s dedicated EV arm PRO-NET has shed more light into the said EV model’s performance in full.
With a YTD sales total of 3,632 units charted last month, Proton and its PRO-NET arm now touts that the Proton e.MAS 7 is Malaysia's fastest selling EV.

Having touted a sales rate of one unit hourly back in April, the automaker's PRO-NET now claims that that the Proton e.MAS 7 is Malaysia’s fastest-selling EV. This is likely based on the model’s YTD total sales of 3,632 units charted last month – as a refresher, the model was first launched in Dec 2024.
Additionally, PRO-NET revealed the EV’s total sales in May 2025 included 233 units shifted overseas. Speaking of, the subsidiary also noted plans to export the Proton e.MAS 7 to Trinidad and Tobago next. To date, PRO-NET sees Nepal stand as the sole overseas market for the e.MAS 7.
Beyond which, the model was recently previewed across the causeway in neighbouring Singapore with sales slated to begin soon within this year. Other potential new export markets PRO-NET is currently exploring for the e.MAS 7 include neighbouring Brunei, as well as Mauritius.

“The e.MAS 7’s success is a strong indicator of where the market is heading and we’re proud to be leading that charge,” expressed Zhang Qiang, CEO of PRO-NET, via a press release issued by the subsidiary late last week.
