- Updated 2025 Bentley Bentayga Speed Revealed With 641 HP V8
The famed Crewe-based Flying-B marque just revealed an updated 2025 model year (2025MY) iteration of its signature super-SUV offering. Essentially, the new 2025 Bentley Bentayga Speed pictured benefits with a new engine swap plus a host of minor changes all around.
Mechanically, this new 2025MY version ditches the previous Bentayga Speed’s signature Piech-era 6.0-litre W12 twin-turbo heart that the firm retired. In its place now is a new 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo unit that’s smaller, lighter and, critically, boast punchy output figures.

New for 2025, the latest iteration of the Bentley Bentayga Speed has switched from its previous W12 to a new V8 that's both lighter and punchier.
The latter is evident through its delivery of up to 641 HP and 850 NM of twist, marking a 15 HP and 50 NM bump from the W12 mill it succeeds. Critically, this new lightweight V8 also sees this new Bentayga Speed shed up to 42 KG in kerb weight, which now reads at 2,466 KG.
As hefty as that weight figure might sound, the fact that this super-SUV will deliver Porsche 911-matching 0-100 KM/H sprint times of 3.4 secs whilst enroute towards a claimed 310 KM/H V-max arguably still justifies the ‘super-SUV’ status for this revised 2025 model.
For reference, the previous W12-engined Bentayga Speed did the same century sprint in 3.9 secs whilst enroute toward a claimed 305 KM/H V-Max.
Despite down-sizing by up to four cylinder, power and torque has risen to 641 HP and 850 NM respectively, in turn enabling century sprints in 3.9 secs too.

Matching the enhanced power and pace are the reworked drive modes. Included is a revised Sport drive mode that stiffens the dampers by 15% and reduces stability control intervention, altogether enabling “exhilarating drift angles”, say the folks from Crewe.
Other notable features brimmed on this front include rear-wheel steering (RWS), the choice between a standard sports exhaust or an optional Akrapovič-supplied titanium system boasting both quad-tailpipes and higher decibel levels.

Optionally available is an Akrapovič titanium exhaust system with quad-tailpipes (left). Unique to the speed too are a series of 22- and 23-inch rolling stock (right), the latter upsize coming as an addition to optional carbon-ceramic brakes.
Changes inside are minimal, but does see Speed varaint-specific digital instrument layout and decor trims.

Visually, this hotter Bentayga rolls on bespoke 22- and 23-inch wheel designs, the latter coming as an optional extra if you opt for carbon-ceramic brakes option. Other exterior touches include ‘Speed’ badges on its flanks that set it apart form the regular Bentayga.
Step inside and the Bentayga Speed’s cabin boast a digital instrument display with a variant-specific layout. Present on board too are 'Speed' badges on the dash and treadplates, not forgetting Crewe’s typical matching seat embroidery.
Naturally, the 2025 Bentley Bentayga Speed won’t be a bargain. Positioned between the S and Mulliner EWB variants, this performance-flavoured version of the Flying-B marque’s SUV reportedly commands a starting price of £219,000 (approx. RM1,258,527) in the UK.
