- GWM Haval H6 HEV Gets 10-Year Hybrid Battery Warranty
Heads up for prospecting buyers of the GWM Haval H6 HEV, GWM Malaysia has enhanced the model's HEV battery warranty coverage.

GWM Malaysia has elected to enhance the hybrid (HEV) battery warranty in its best-seller, the GWM Haval H6 HEV. The firm revealed via press release issued today that the electrified C-SUV offering now benefits with an upgraded 10-year HEV battery warranty coverage.
For reference, the firm previously launched the Haval H6 HEV with an 8-year or 1 Million KM hybrid system warranty. Moreover, existing owners will also receive this warranty upgrade automatically, adds the firm.

In its press release, the firm says the Haval H6 HEV now comes with a 10-year HEV Battery warranty. Additionally, existing owners will also get this upgraded coverage automatically.

On top of which, GWM Malaysia is also offering new Haval H6 HEV buyers with savings of up to RM6,600. As a refresher, this electrified C-SUV offering, which is also locally assembled (CKD), was launched back in Oct 2024 at RM139,800.
The move comes on the onset that GWM Malaysia now stands amongst the top three Chinese automotive brands in Malaysia thanks to a healthy 20.3% sales growth the firm recorded throughout the first half (H1) of this year versus the previous year (2024).

As a refresher, the locally built (CKD) and electrified GWM Haval H6 HEV launched back in Oct 2024 with a price tag of RM139,800.

The firm didn’t reveal its sales numbers in full, but figures from data.gov.my indicate that the sales of the Haval H6 HEV model between Jan and May this year specifically reached a total of 1,440 units – mind you, that’s before factoring in sales from last month (June).
“This isn’t just about numbers, it’s about momentum and meaning,” adds new COO Roslan Abdullah. The exec also highlights the growth reflects the fact that many Malaysians are embracing the firm’s vision of cars that “combine innovation, value, and relevance to their everyday lives.”

New COO at GWM Malaysia Roslan Abdullah says the firm's recent 20.3% sales growth in H1 2025 reflects that more Malaysians are embracing the firm's products vision too.
Product success aside, the firm also saw its local network grow from 18 outlets last year to 26 outlets now. In other words, the firm appears on-track towards its target of establishing a total of 35 outlets by year-end.
Looking ahead, GWM Malaysia is poised to see its line-up updated and expanded with two new additions. One of which was confirmed prior, and it will see the firm charging up its Ora electric vehicle sub-brand range with the sportier new Ora Good Cat GT.
