- Pahang JPJ Warns Of Fake Travel Pass Bearing Director’s Name
The Pahang Road Transport Department (JPJ) has denied issuing any temporary travel pass for vehicle inspection bearing the name and signature of its director, calling such documents fake.
In a statement, the department confirmed it had discovered forged documents misusing both its name and that of its director.
“We take this matter seriously. A police report was lodged yesterday, and strict legal action will be taken against those involved to protect public interest,” the department says in a Bernama report.
It clarified that official temporary travel permits can only be applied for at JPJ counters or branches, and do not require the director’s signature.
JPJ also urged the public to stay alert, especially when buying or selling vehicles through unverified sources or online platforms. Any suspicious claims involving the department’s services should be reported immediately.
