2025 Proton X50 Facelift Sees 999 Units Shifted In 5 Days

2025 Proton X50 Facelift at its official launch event late last month. As of end of July, 999 units have been delivered and production has reached 2,000 units.


Earlier today, national automaker Proton revealed that the sales pace of the recently launched 2025 Proton X50 Facelift have reached a high level. In fact, the automaker revealed it has delivered 999 units in just the first five (working) days since its July 24 launch.

“We garnered 5,000 bookings in just 10 days before the price was revealed. Cumulatively, we have now received 8,000 bookings as at the end of July,” adds Zhang Qiang, Deputy CEO of Proton Edar – Proton’s sales and distribution arm.

Moreover, Proton also highlights production of the refreshed 2025MY version of its best-selling B-SUV at its Tanjong Malim plant have surpassed 2,000 units as of end of July. This ensures that the model’s sales momentum remains high in the coming weeks and months, touts Proton further.

“We have planned to keep production levels high to ensure the waiting time for customers is kept to a minimum,” added Zhang Qiang. Take note, the face-lifted X50 is the first of three new models planned for released by Proton this year.

Depending on variant, the face-lifted 2025 Proton X50 is priced between RM85,900 and RM109,300 with the special RM4,000 cash rebate on offer for the first 10,000 buyers.


First announced in early July, the revamped 2025 Proton X50 officially launched late last month with a streamlined range of three variants – Executive, Premium and Flagship. Key changes include a new 1.5-litre 4-cyl turbo petrol powertrain plus a slew of new and improved tech.

At launch, the refreshed 2025 Proton X50 commands base price tags of RM89,900 (Executive), Premium (RM101,800) and RM113,300 (Flagship). Said figures are lowered by RM4,000 via a special launch rebate offered for the first 10,000 buyers too.
