- Polestar 3 Sets New EV Distance World Record At Over 930 KM!
The Polestar 3 has set a new EV distance record, earning a spot in the Guinness World Records list.

Earlier today, online reports coming out of the UK indicates that Geely-owned Swedish premium electric vehicle (EV) brand Polestar has set a new Guinness World Record with its Polestar 3 EV crossover offering.
More specifically, the Polestar 3 has set a new EV distance record. The record attempt drive was conducted recently in the UK using the new ‘Long Range’ guise of the marque’s flagship EV crossover offering.
This recent record attempt was completed in the UK across open public roads covering single-track lanes, dual-carriageways and B-roads, adds Polestar.

In all, the effort covered a total distance of 581.3 miles (935.5 KM) on a single charge of the 107 kWh battery pack brimmed in the Polestar 3. Concurrently, efficiency figures of 19.5kWh per 100 miles (approx. 160 KM), or 5.13 mpkWh (82.6 KM/kWh) were recorded.
Polestar further adds that the EV crossover mentioned continued for another 8 miles (approx. 12.9 KM) after the battery state-of-charge (SoC) readout reached 0%. It even managed to reach a charger, thus suggesting it could even have gone slightly farther.

Overall, this successful record attempt beat the previous record set last year by the rivalling Ford Mustang Mach-E that charted a total single-charge EV driving distance of 569.64 miles – approx. 916.7 KM.
Moreover, the unit driven in this attempt was completely unmodified and featured standard Michelin Sport 4 EV tyres. The automaker even notes the attempt was carried out across open public roads covering single-track lanes, dual carriageways and B-roads.

It even covered a further 8 miles (12.9 KM) after hitting a 0% SoC readout to reach a charger.

That last fact proves arguably crucial as it reflected both ‘real world’ abilities and conditions. One could argue it holds greater weight versus what the Guinness World Records recognises as the current outright range record for an unmodified EV.
That record is held by American start-up EV-makers Lucid. Last month, it reportedly set the record for longest distance traveled by an EV on a single charge by covering 749 miles (approx. 1,205 KM) with its Lucid Air Grand Touring driven from St. Moritz, Switzerland to Munich, Germany.
