- Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur 2025 – Over 100,000 Visitors Recorded
The Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur 2025 concluded on a high note with over 100,000 visitors recorded this year.
The Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur (TASKL) 2025 concluded on a high note, with over 100,000 visitors recorded throughout its three-day stint from Aug 8 to 10 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) this year.
This year’s edition saw the return of some crowd favourites such as Top Secret Japan, RE Amemiya, and Veilside, along with several first-timers and newcomers. Some of the legendary builds displayed at TASKL this year include the Top Secret VR32 Stealth Nissan GT-R, the Liberty Walk duo of the Ferrari F40 and Nissan Super Silhouette R34 GT-R, RE Amemiya’s Matsukiyo Kizami 3Rotar NA-7, the Nissan GT-R R356C concept by CREWCH, Veilside’s Mazda RX-7, the Toyota Century by ALESS, and many more.
Gracing the MITEC hall at this year’s TASKL were several iconic Japanese tuners and JDM icons, including the father of the modern GT-R and Nissan Z, Hiroshi Tamura, Liberty Walk founder and owner Wataru Kato and his son, Hyuma Kato, Top Secret Japan legend Smokey Nagata, J’S Racing President Hisaaki Murakami, and RE Amemiya's Ken Amemiya, to name a few.
Besides the special builds display and VIPs, TASKL 2025 also featured an auto styling competition for all the top-tier modified cars from local and regional builders judged by a special panel of Japanese tuners, as well as several car club gatherings.
Apart from the cars, many automotive parts brands and local tuners have also participated in TASKL this year, such as Greddy, Tomei, Nissan, Goodyear Tyres, Castrol, Liqui Moly, Rimbunan Kuasa Auto Parts, Exeedy Malaysia, F Tuned Suspension, Pandem, the House of Type R, Qartel, and many more.
Also special for TASKL 2025 is that it was held in conjunction with The Model Car Show Malaysia (TMCS). Several limited-edition diecast models were launched during the show, including the Matte Frost Yellow Toyota Supra MK4 Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur special edition, the J’S Racing-Hyper Race Motorsports S2000, and Tomica’s collection of 1/64 cars specially for Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur 2025.
“From the big smiles, laughter, excitement, and tremendous display of energy by visitors at the show, which was later reflected in thousands of social media postings depicting the good time they had meeting their tuning legends and seeing a lineup of extraordinary cars, the hard work we put in has more than paid off.
“I would like to thank everyone who visited the show. Your continued support and shared passion are what fuel this show as we endeavor to make it bigger, better, and more exciting every year,” said Jason Yap, the Chief Executive Officer of Element X Strategies, the Sole Official Licensee of Tokyo Auto Salon in Malaysia.
