Tokyo Auto Salon KL 2025 Returns to MITEC KL – Aug 8-10
The lineup for the upcoming Tokyo Auto Salon KL 2025, taking place at MITEC KL from Aug 8 to 10, has been announced.
The Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur (TASKL) returns this year, with the third annual auto exhibition set to take place from August 8 to 10 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
Ahead of its official opening, TASKL has announced this year’s lineup, which includes several big names returning, such as Top Secret’s Smokey Nagata, Liberty Walk founder and owner Wataru Kato, RE Amemiya founder Isami Amemiya, KUHL Racing’s Takahiro Kataoka, and J’S Racing president Hisaaki Murakami. Also returning after his first visit in 2024 is Hiroshi Tamura, who is known as the father of the modern Nissan GT-R.
Top Secret VR32 Stealth Nissan GT-R
For this year’s TASKL show, Top Secret will be showing its one-of-a-kind VR32 Stealth Nissan GT-R, which combines the iconic silhouette of the R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R with the R35 GT-R’s 3.8-litre VR38DETT twin-turbocharged engine that has been uprated to deliver 1,072 hp.
Liberty Walk LB-Works Ferrari F40
Meanwhile at Liberty Walk, the renowned tuning house will showcase two of its showstoppers, namely the controversial LB-Works Ferrari F40 and the Super Silhouette ER34. The former made headlines all over the world during its debut back in 2023, featuring LBWK’s signature bolted wide wheel arches and suspension drop.
CREWCH Delusion GT-R R356C
Another bold GT-R build set to arrive at TASKL25 is the CREWCH Delusion GT-R R356C. Unveiled by CREWCH earlier this year at the Tokyo Auto Salon (TAS) 2025, this build envisions a next-gen GT-R with its elaborate bodywork that mimics many other modern supercars.
MATSUKIYO KIZAMI 3ROTAR NA-7
From RE Amemiya, the rotary tuning expert will be showcasing its MATSUKIYO KIZAMI 3ROTAR NA-7. Also debuted at TAS 2025 earlier this year, this RX-7 FD-based build is powered by a 2.0-litre RE20B triple rotary engine that delivers 435 hp.
ALESS Century Complete WL
Besides the familiar names, TASKL25 will also feature some newcomers and new debutants, including the ALESS Century Complete WL. This is essentially a Toyota Century-based special build featuring an air suspension system, an elaborate aero kit, and the Century’s uprated 5.0-litre V12 engine that now delivers 581 hp.
Apart from the usual special build displays, this year’s TASKL will bring several new and exciting activities for visitors, such as the Malaysia’s Finest Tuners (MFT)—a competition dedicated to showcasing, promoting, and paying tribute to top Malaysian car tuners, multiple car club gatherings, and a dedicated area displaying some of the rarest car collections in Malaysia.
For diecast collectors and enthusiasts, TASKL25 will also be releasing special Toyota Supra MK4 chase and super chase cars during the show, with only a handful of these chase and super chase cars being made available.
Two new zones have also been added to TASKL25, namely Sakura Street and Midnight Tokyo, featuring activities such as multiple stage performances, Japan A Girls showcase, a two-hour simulation endurance race by RaceRoom, a Car-Meets-Cosplay competition, a meet-and-greet session with local drifting legend and Autobacs ambassador Zen Low, local automotive artist Zameer Pentbrush who will be doing a live demonstration powered by Castrol, and a lucky draw prize of a motorcycle sponsored by EXN Lubricants.
Last but not least, two run-up shows to the TASKL25 will take place this year, including the annual Malaysia GT-R Festival at Gamuda Cove’s Experience Gallery on Aug 2, as well as the FL5 Malaysia’s first FL5 Type R Official Track Day and Mega Gathering at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit (SIC) on the same day.
Tickets for the 2025 Tokyo Auto Salon Kuala Lumpur can now be purchased at TASKL’s official website, with prices starting from RM48 for a one-day pass for adults, RM30 for children between the ages of 6 and 12, RM120 for a Family Combo one-day pass for two adults and two children, and RM120 for an adult three-day pass.
OKU cardholders and their caretakers will enjoy a 50% discount on all the passes mentioned above, while children aged five and under can enter for free.
