BUDI95-Caricarz-(3)-full_normal.jpg Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail is urging Malaysians to give their MyKad a quick check to make sure the chip works or risk missing out on the upcoming RON95 targeted subsidy.

He explained that the subsidy will only apply when the MyKad is used for identity verification at petrol stations.

“If your chip is damaged or unreadable, don’t panic. Just drop by any National Registration Department (JPN) branch or counter nationwide

"God willing, we can get it fixed the same day. It’s quick and simple but don’t wait until the last minute. Get it done early so you and your friends can benefit from this special subsidy,” Saifuddin wrote on Facebook.

He also assured that RON95 petrol is set to drop to RM1.99 per litre by the end of the month once the targeted subsidy takes effect.

“Alhamdulillah, the Prime Minister is keeping his promise. It may have taken some time, but he has stayed true to his word. Every commitment made is for the good of the people,” he added.

Saifuddin stressed that the Madani government is committed to easing living costs, protecting the welfare of all groups, and growing the economy with integrity.
