Chery Fulwin T11 Debuts in China — Flagship EREV SUV with 1,400 km Range

The all-new Chery Fulwin T11 debuts in China as the brand’s flagship EREV SUV with over 1,400 km of range.
Chery has expanded its electrified product range in China by launching its new flagship range-extender (EREV) EV SUV, the Chery Fulwin T11. Priced from just CNY 249,900 (RM147,381) onwards, this EREV SUV packs tons of the latest features and technologies from the Wuhu-based automaker, including its new Chery Falcon 500 and 700 ADAS suites.

Also known as the Exeed ET8 in overseas markets like Russia, the T11 gets a pretty elegant SUV design with luxury bits and pieces scattered around. Some key design highlights include slim LED headlights with a full-width light bar, a vertical front grille with thin slats and a wide lower air intake, large 21-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, full-width LED taillights, and many more.

Given its position as Chery Fulwin’s flagship model, the T11 is quite a large vehicle, spanning 5,150 mm long, 1,995 mm wide, and 1,800 mm tall with a wheelbase of 3,120 mm. This puts it on par with other popular flagship premium SUVs like the Mercedes-Benz GLS, BMW X7, Hyundai Palisade, Mazda CX-90, and many more.

On-board, the T11 comes with a three-row seating configuration with a 2-2-2 six-seater layout, where the second row gets two captain-style seats that are fully reclinable and ventilated. Rear passengers also get tons of amenities, including a 17.3-inch fold-down entertainment screen, a built-in refrigerator with temperatures ranging from -18°C to 50°C, foldable tables, and many more.

Up front, the T11 features a pretty futuristic cabin layout, with the most prominent feature being its massive 30-inch 6K infotainment screen that stretches to the front passenger, which is accompanied by a smaller 10.25-inch digital metre cluster.

Rounding off the cabin amenities are the 23-speaker audio system, wireless chargers, a dual-spoke steering wheel, a split panoramic glass roof, and a large boot space that can be expanded to 1,590 litres with the third-row seats folded.

On the powertrain front, the T11 is powered by Chery’s latest EREV powertrain setup, which features a 1.5-litre 4-cyl turbocharged petrol engine rated at 141 hp and 215 Nm by itself. Available in both RWD and AWD options, said engine is mated to either one or two electric motors, with the latter rated at 463 hp (345 kW) and 634 Nm.
Juicing the motors are either a 36.68 kWh or a larger 39.92 kWh LFP battery pack, thus granting the T11 up to 220 km of pure electric range and up to 1,400 km of comprehensive range, at least on the more lenient CLTC standards. Under fast charging, the T11 takes only 15 minutes to be charged from 30% to 80%.

On the safety front, Chinese buyers can get the T11 with either Chery’s Falcon 500 or Falcon 700 ADAS suites—both of which feature an Nvidia Orin-Y intelligent driving chip. The Falcon 500 uses seven cameras, three millimeter-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars to deliver highway navigation-on-autopilot (NOA).
Meanwhile, the Falcon 700 suite is supported by an additional roof-mounted LiDAR and four extra cameras to allow both highway and urban NOA.

As mentioned earlier, the Chery Fulwin T11 EREV is marketed as the Exeed ET8 in several overseas markets, including Russia. Should Chery decide to offer the T11 in our market, would you rather see it in Chery or Exeed form?
