The Chery Super Hybrid Endless Horizons Global Endurance Drive has officially concluded with the final 1,400-kilometre stretch from Taiyuan, Shanxi, ending at Chery International’s headquarters in Wuhu.

The convoy arrived just in time for the 2025 Chery International User Summit, marking the end of an ambitious year-long journey.

Kicking off in April, the endurance drive was designed to put Chery’s latest plug-in hybrid technology to the test under real-world conditions. Over the months, it travelled through more than 20 countries across Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East, covering over 20,000 kilometres of highways, mountain passes, and city streets

The route provided a comprehensive test of endurance, efficiency, and comfort for the brand’s new Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) powertrain.

For the final leg, participants from over 20 nations including Malaysia, Greece, Thailand, Brazil, and Kazakhstan drove the Tiggo 7, Tiggo 8, and Tiggo 9 PHEV CSH models.

The convoy navigated a mix of expressways, winding mountain routes, and rural stretches, offering a variety of driving environments for the hybrid systems to demonstrate their capability.

Each vehicle’s fuel tank was sealed before departure, with daily progress shared on Chery International’s official channels - a measure to ensure transparency throughout the event.

A Malaysian participant noted that the vehicles performed beyond expectations over the 1,400-kilometre route, delivering smooth and consistent performance even when fully loaded with three passengers and luggage.

The models reportedly handled harsh road conditions and steep altitude changes with little effort, while their EV-like torque delivery made overtaking along the highway seamless. Despite the demanding terrain, ride comfort remained commendable, with all participants completing the drive feeling fresh and at ease.

With the final stretch completed, the Chery Super Hybrid Global Endurance Drive wraps up a comprehensive global exercise that not only showcased the company’s technical development but also highlighted the growing maturity of PHEV systems across varying climates and terrains.
