EKVE Sdn Bhd announced on its social media that toll collection will officially begin at 12:01AM on Sat, Oct 25, marking the end of the complimentary period since the section opened on Aug 30.

Toll rates will depend on vehicle class, with payments accepted only through electronic methods like Touch ’n Go cards, SmartTAG, or RFID.

“Users are advised to ensure their eWallet and Touch ’n Go card have sufficient balance before starting their journey to avoid any inconvenience at the toll plazas.

They should also observe all road signs and safety instructions to ensure a smooth trip,” the firm said in the statement.

Spanning 16.8 km, Section 1 features a dual carriageway along the main stretch, plus 8.4 km of access roads connecting four interchanges which are Sungai Long, Bandar Mahkota Cheras, Hulu Langat, and Ampang.

Meanwhile, Section 2, which will extend the route directly to Ukay Perdana, is still under construction. Once completed, it will finalize the 39 km EKVE alignment, providing a smoother east-west connection across the Klang Valley.
