The all-new AUDI E SUV Concept previews the marque’s future EV SUV with up to 700 km of CLTC range.

China’s AUDI marque has expanded its footprint further by unveiling a new concept model at the ongoing Auto Guangzhou 2025 motor expo, simply known as the AUDI E SUV concept. And just like the E5 Sportback, this EV SUV concept will also underpin the brand’s own 800-volt architecture, which is developed between Germany’s Audi and SAIC Motor.

Positioned as the brand’s large premium EV SUV, the E SUV concept spans 5,057 mm long, 2,024 mm wide, and 1,786 mm tall with a wheelbase of 3,060 mm. Predictably, the SUV concept gets the same design language seen on its wagon twin, featuring a grill-less front face with vertical LED matrix headlights that blend into the full-width DRLs, illuminated AUDI emblems on both ends, a clean side profile with flush door handles and digital side-view cameras, and many more.

Keen eyes will also notice that the E SUV concept wears a LiDAR unit on its roof, which is part of the AUDI 360 Driving Assist System. As of now, however, no interior photos of the E SUV concept were shared, but we can expect it to boast a pretty high-end cabin setup similar to what we’ve seen on the E5 Sportback.

On the powertrain front, we’ve been told that the production version of the E SUV concept will come in both single RWD and dual-motor AWD options, with the latter capable of delivering a combined output of up to 671 hp (500 kW). AUDI claims this dual-motor setup is powerful enough to propel the large SUV from 0 to 100 km/h in about five seconds.

As for the battery, the top-spec E SUV concept will get a large 109 kWh battery pack with an 800-volt architecture that can supply up to 700 km of CLTC range, AUDI claims.

Besides the all-electric powertrain option, CarNewsChina reports that the production version of the E SUV concept, possibly known as the AUDI E8, will also get an extended-range electric (EREV) version in the future, although no details were shared regarding that setup, at least for now.

That being said, the production version of the AUDI E SUV concept is slated to make its Chinese debut sometime later in 2026. Again, no pricing details or confirmed launch dates were announced for now, but CarNewsChina speculates that the large EV SUV will start somewhere around the CNY 260,000 (RM151,507) region, thus potentially making it slightly more expensive than the E5 Sportback.
