Two KTMB MySawasdee services have been cancelled due to severe flooding in southern Thailand. The affected trips are the KL Sentral–Hat Yai service (MySawasdee 1004) scheduled for this Friday (Nov 28) and the Hat Yai–KL Sentral service (MySawasdee 1005) set for Dec 1.

KTMB said the floods have forced the closure of several sections of the Padang Besar–Hat Yai line, with waters rising high enough to make parts of the track, including the Hat Yai station area, unsafe for train operations.

The railway operator said the decision was made after safety assessments and confirmation from Thai authorities, stressing that passenger safety remains the top priority.

A total of 840 tickets had been issued for both trips. Refunds for cancelled tickets will be credited directly into passengers’ KTM Wallets for use on future bookings.

KTMB noted that 652 passengers have yet to cancel their tickets, while 188 have done so earlier and are now eligible to redeem the remaining refund amount.

For online purchases, passengers may cancel their tickets through the KITS app by going to the MyTicket section, selecting Upcoming Ticket and proceeding with the refund process.

KTMB said updates on the next MySawasdee service will be shared depending on how the flood situation in Hat Yai develops.

The operator apologised for the disruption and thanked passengers for their patience. For further assistance, travellers may contact the KTMB call centre at 03-9779 1200.
