Existing Padang Besar-Segamat routes will also be extended to JB Sentral, creating direct north-to-south links.
"Trains leaving Padang Besar at 12.05PM will reach JB Sentral by 10.30PM, while the return leaves JB at 7.35AM and arrives at Padang Besar at 5.53 PM. The new KL-JB ETS3 service officially started on Dec 12," it said in a statement.
On the East Coast, two extra Shuttle Timuran (ST) services between Gemas and Kuala Lipis are being introduced, bringing total daily trips to six.
Departures from Gemas will be at 6.10AM and from Kuala Lipis at 7AM, easing connections for passengers heading to Johor Bahru.
Tickets for all new and extended services are available from 12PM today, covering travel until May next year, including major public holidays. Tickets can be purchased via the KITS Style app, KTMB’s website, or kiosk machines.
