The limited-edition BMW 218 Gran Coupe Sport debuts with BMW’s Iconic Glow LED grille, priced at RM219,800.
Besides the new, locally-assembled (CKD) i5 and the long-wheelbase iX1, BMW Group Malaysia has also updated the second-gen 2 Series Gran Coupe lineup with a new, limited edition model. With only 150 units available from now until March 31, 2026, this limited-edition BMW 218 Gran Coupe Sport retails at RM219,800, making it RM1,000 more expensive than before.

Just like any other BMW product, the price listed above is inclusive of the standard 2-year unlimited mileage warranty. Opting for the BMW Service & Repair Inclusive (BSRI) package grants you an extended 5-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty and five years or 100,000 km of service coverage, at the expense of a heftier price tag of RM241,500.

Back to the limited-edition 218, the 150-unit-only model comes equipped with BMW’s signature Iconic Glow LED surround light on its kidney front grille. The rest of the car, however, remains the same as before, making it one of the few BMW models to not be offered in a sportier M Sport guise, at least for now.

Instead, buyers only get the 218 Gran Coupe in a more tamed Sport form, featuring bits like satin aluminium trims, 18-inch Light alloy wheels in Y-spoke style 974 Bicolour, and three exterior colourways—Alpine White, Black Sapphire, and Cape York Green.

Interior bits also remain unchanged for this limited-edition 218 Gran Coupe Sport, with key highlights including a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, a slightly larger 10.7-inch infotainment interface powered by the BMW OS 9, Veganza perforated upholstery in black, a wireless charger, and more.

On the powertrain front, the F74-gen 218 Gran Coupe Sport is powered by the same 1.5-litre 3-cyl turbocharged petrol engine carried over from its predecessor that outputs 156 hp and 230 Nm. Drive is sent to the front wheels (FWD) via a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox, enabling this car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds before topping out at 230 km/h.
